The Johnson County Women’s Club held their monthly meeting on Friday, November 1, at 1pm at The Clyffe Cafe in Vienna
Following a delicious luncheon, with each member ordering her choice, the meeting was called to order by President Phyllis Webb.
The club program co-ordinator Rosemary
Rouse introduced Morgan Banks of the Arrowleaf organization, who presented an interesting program on the cafe and how it had been developed as a site for clients of
Arrowleaf to learn skills in food preparation and restaurant management, the only facility of its kind in Southern Illinois. The cafe was named in recognition of Ferne Clyffe State Park of Johnson County.
Following the program, the business meeting was held. The roll call was answered with “What Is One Thing You Are Thankful For” with a variety of responses, with “my family” being the number one response.
The minutes for October were presented by Rosemary Rouse, in the absence of Judy Miller, the club secretary. The financial report was given by Barbara Smith, the club treasurer.
Old and new business were discussed.
Dollars for Charity were collected.
Serving as hostesses were the club officers.
The next meeting will be held on Friday, Dec.6, at 1:30pm at the country home of Natalie Dougherty.
Those attending the November meeting were:
