NSDAR TO HOST MEMORIAL DAY SERVICE

Memorial Day services will be held at 11am on May 26, 2025 on the Vienna Public Library lawn, sponsored by the Daniel Chapman Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.
The featured speaker is James “Jim” Jones. Jim holds the rank of Sergeant 1st Class U.S, Army Retired, serving in1961-1983. He served with the 82nd, 101st and 8th Airborne Division, as well as three other tours in Germany. He also spent one tour in Korea and one tour in Vietnam with the 319th Field Airborne Brigade. Jim resides on the Lake of Egypt near Goreville.
Patriotic music will be provided by a father/daughter duo, Mason Montgomery and Marcia Wells. Mason is the music director of Maple Grove Baptist Church. He has dedicated many years to gospel music, special services and revival leadership. Marcia is a local music arranger and publisher, currently serving as pianist at Big Creek Baptist Church.
Please join us for this event honoring those who gave the ultimate sacrifice and our veterans. Limited seating will be available. The event will move to the library community in case of rain.
