Over forty mothers and daughters of the Lick Creek Pentecostal Church enjoyed a banquet at Bennie’s in Marion recently.

Webb Sullivan and his bride-to-be, Christy Jones, will be getting married this Friday.

Clara Faye Perry and daughters, LaMona Flick and Brenda Lingle and her sister, Marietta Kilmer traveled to Branson, Mo. to visit Brenda’s daughter, Kim Delgado and family last week.

Seen on Channel 12’s “Everyone Has A Story” segment were Goreville’s two stars, Bill and Juanita Kelley, who looked great.

The Goreville Ag students, with their teacher, Jeff Robison, have made a showing once more this year.  Pictured was Tyler Parrish, who received the State Farmers Degree and Star State Agribusiness Award.  Tyler and Jason West won Section Proficiency Awards also.  Jason won State Ag Sales Placement and Tyler placed third in State Turf Grass Management.

No one identified last week’s Mystery Picture, which was Kassi Hancock, who was awarded a pizza from “Dad’s Pizza,” compliments of Meredith Funeral Home. Kassie Lee Hancock was born at Herrin Hospital on Oct. 11, 1983. to Bill and Karen Annable Hancock Taylor.  She has one sister, Lee Anna Hancock, Goreville. Kassi attended Goreville Schools and graduated from GHS in 2001. She is single, but is looking a little. Kassi works at KB Bar-B-Que in Goreville. She is a member of the Abundant Life Assembly Church in Marion. She lists her hobby as shopping.

And so it was, in Goreville and Lake of Egypt, on May 15, 2002.
