HCE OFFERS TRAVEL OPPORTUNITIES

The Johnson County Home and Community Education (HCE) of the University of Illinois Extension welcomes all area adults to take advantage of their upcoming travel opportunities, to Branson, Mo. and Nashville, The Branson Holiday Show Extravaganza will take place on Nov. 14-18, with motor coach transportation and four nights lodging, plus 8 meals, 4 breakfasts and 4 dinners.

The cost will include also the admission to six fabulous shows: three morning shows of Doug Gabriel, All Hands on Deck and a Neil Diamond Tribute Show, plus 3 evening shows: The Duttons Christmas Show, Presley’s Country Jubilee Christmas Show and The Miracle of Christmas.

A visit to downtown Branson, with shopping opportunities at a variety of shops and to Branson Landing on Lake Taneycomo for more shopping, is included.

The 8 a.m. departure will be at Sam’s Wholesale parking lot in Marion.
The departure to Nashville will also be from Sam’s parking lot at 8 a.m.
The trip includes 2 nights lodging in the Nashville area, with 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners.

A guided tour of Music City will be provided with admission to “The Grand Ole Opry Behind the Scenes Tour,” and a stop at The Parthenon, a reproduction of a Greek temple.

There will also be a visit to Opry Mills for a unique shopping experience.

Two wonderful shows, “The Grand Ole Opry” and “Nashville Nightlife Dinner Theatre” plus a tour of the “Madame Tussard’s Wax Museum” is included.

The Branson trip is $639 per person, double occupancy, with $135 added for single occupancy. The Nashville trip is $450 per person, double occupancy, with $90 added for single occupancy. Final payment is due on Sept. 21, 2020.
