Beautiful Fall Weather all around the South making it Perfect for all the final outside activities of the year.
Saturday was Sunny with a slightly crisp Breeze in time for the Fall Festival at Goreville Schools. Lots of Booths,
Food, and fun activities were enjoyed.

Darrell and Simi Poe held their Annual Weiner Roast and Hayride at their Farm in Ozark on Saturday Night. It was also Simi’s Birthday so it was a Huge Celebration with approximately 50 Family and Friends attending. Some friends came from Indiana, Rockford, and various towns closer to Ozark. It was lots of fun, food, fellowship, 2 Hayrides and a Big Bonfire! Best Wishes to Simi for many more Happy Birthday Parties. It’s gonna be hard to top this one!

Shane, Amanda, Shale Clark and Tom and I spent last week in Branson, Missouri. We stopped to visit in Mt. Grove, Mo. with Alice (Shane) Boyd. While there she took us on the tour of her beautiful home and visited for a while, it was so good to see her again. On Sunday after Sunday School in Branson, we traveled to Top of The Rock where we rode Golf Carts around the Hillside and Waterfalls. Much to our Surprise, we seen more Gorevillians while there. Stan Dorsey, his daughters, Jackie and Tara with their husbands and children.

While in Branson, we seen the C. J. Newsom Concert and Comedy Show, The Legends in Concert, The Presley’s Comedy Show and the Play “JESUS” at the Sight and Sound Theatre, it was so realistic and awesome.

We went to the School of the Ozarks to visit the Ralph Foster Museum, Branson’s Wild World Aquarium, we traveled to Springfield to go shopping, we celebrated Shane’s Birthday, ate at lots of different Restaurants, played Games, and had lots of fun. A very enjoyable Week.

Happy 42nd Anniversary to Rob and Connie Hancock who celebrated their Anniversary on Wednesday, October 13th. We wish them many more years of Happiness. Terry and Gina Phalin, Lily Craig and Karsen Worthen traveled last week to Georgia. They spent four days with Charity Worthen, Karsen’s mother, who was at Glenco in Brunswick, Georgia training for her job at the Marion Federal Prison. She was able to go with them over the weekend to see some of the sights. She finished her training and left to return home on Tuesday.

Journey Sullivan, daughter of Jarrod and Nicole Sullivan of Happy Hollow, turn 10 years old on Sunday, Oct. 17th. She partied last week with family and friends but Sunday was her Big Day! We wish her many more fun years.

Danny Joe and Lois Hancock, their daughters, Kelley and Charity, grandchildren, Joel and Rosalee spent a last week vacationing in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Alabama. They walked on the re-built Bridge that had been destroyed by the last Hurricane. They seen 10 Sharks in 30 minutes while standing there. They had a fun filled and exciting week.
