News From My Corner: October 27

We still enjoyed Beautiful Weather last week, cool morning temperatures and warmer afternoon temps. Storms and Rain came through late Sunday Night ushering in cooler weather on Monday.

Get Well Wishes to our neighbor, Jimmy Newton. He was taken by ambulance Thursday night after falling in his home. He was checked out at the Hospital with some medicine changes and returned home by Saturday.

Happy 1st. Birthday to Ray Lee, granddaughter of David Craig. She also welcomed a new Baby Sister, Zena, on September 15th. Their mother , Kelli, is the youngest daughter of David Craig and granddaughter of Lily Craig.

Calvin Dunn and Nellie Stokes were in an auto accident with a Trash Truck Thursday Night here in Goreville. Calvin was taken by ambulance to the Hospital.

John and Lottie Lindsey celebrated their Wedding Anniversary last week. They spent the day driving around enjoying the Scenery while spending time with each other. We wish them many more years of Happiness.

Kaylee Gunther, daughter of Lonnie and Gina Gunther, hosted a Halloween Party at her home Friday Night, with eight of her friends attending. Her dad, Lonnie , set up a Movie, The Addams Family, for them to watch, her mom, Gina, served the Pizza, and they all decorated cookies. They played Games and had lots of fun according to my grandson, Shale Clark.

Happy 40th Anniversary to Darrel and Simi Poe on Sunday, October 24th. We wish them many more years of Happiness together.

R e m e m b e r Halloween is celebrated this weekend in Goreville on Saturday, October 30th. This will let the children enjoy the fun on Saturday and then everyone can attend Church on Sunday.

Marietta Kilmer, Irma Stanley, Nancy Durham and Judy Waroway all enjoyed the monthly meeting of some of the graduates of Goreville School. They had their Lunch, Wednesday, Oct.13th at Bob Evans Restaurant in Marion. They had a fun time of visiting and eating together.

Following Back Surgery Six Weeks ago, Rev. John Gourley was able to Preach at the Dongola Pentecostal Church where he pastors, this past Sunday Morning while sitting in a Chair. He’s not able to stand and preach yet, but he is working on it.
