DAR MEETS AT ANNA ARTS CENTER

The Daniel Chapman Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution held their regular business meeting on Monday, Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. at the Anna Arts Center. The meeting was called to order by Regent Susan Harvel.
The opening ritual was observed with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America; The American’s Creed; and the Preamble to the Constitution. Reports were read by chairmen and officers.
The program was “Project Patriot,” lead by Julia Mowery. Refreshments were provided by Lee Hackney. Attending were: Julia Mowery, Buncombe; Alice Thodoropoulos, Jeanne Boglino, Golconda; Doda Starkey, Vienna; Susan Harvel, Tamms; Marilyn Meisenheimer, Lillian Milam, Jonesboro; Juanita Broyles, Goreville; Lee Hackney, Anna, with one guest, Twila Smith.
A District VII meeting will be held on Oct. 29 at Walker’s Bluff, with a luncheon. On Nov. 3, the 112th anniversary of the founding of the Daniel Chapman Chapter will be observed.
