Goreville Schools welcomes two new teachers

GOREVILLE — Goreville CUSD 1 welcomes new teachers Cayla Oslay and Madison Sopczak for the 2020-2021 school year.

Cayla is a 2012 graduate of Goreville High School where she was a standout basketball and softball player earning All-Conference in both. She was also a high honor student and will be the new Junior High Math Teacher this year.

Madison is a 2014 graduate of Goreville High School where she was a standout volleyball and softball player. Madison was also a high honor student and will be teaching 4th grade this year.

Cayla will also be the Junior High Head Volleyball Coach assisted this year by veteran Blackcat Coach Cindy Harner and former Lady Blackcat All-Stater Alison Webb.

Madison will also be the Junior High Cheerleading Sponsor and High School Assistant Volleyball Coach.

Other changes at Goreville Schools this year includes Dana Harris moving to Title I Reading Intervention, Melissa Darnell moving to High School Math, and Lacey Shepherd moving to Junior High Science.
